Secondary School Council

The secondary school council met last week, their first tasks focus on school rewards, charities and the new house system.

Science trip

Year 10 students had a wonderful visit last week to  Bwlch Nant Yr Arian and Dyfi Nature Reserve looking at inspect species as part of their GCSE environmental science course. Students have produced some excellent reports following on from their visit.

Parent Surveys

Just a reminder, please can surveys be returned to school.

Mid Wales Art Trip

Year 7, 8 and 9 will be visiting the Mid Wales Art Gallery this Wednesday morning.  Students need to be in uniform, aprons will be provided but if they wish they can bring an old T-shirt for when they will be working with clay.  Students will return just before lunch.

Wilton Park students visit

On Wednesday students from Wilton Park will be visiting Newtown as part of their A Level course and be taught by Mr Smith in person!  I am sure Newtown campus will make them feel very welcome.

Primary School

Trip to Newtown – the primary students will be visiting Newtown on Tuesday morning as part of their study into houses and homes.

General Notices

Please can students not bring in chewing gum or energy drinks into school.

Students should now be wearing full winter uniform and therefore need to bring their blazer into school each day.

Dates for your diary

Inset Day – 17th October, this is for both Primary and Secondary.

Achievement Awards -18th October (PM)

Rewards Trip for Year 12/13 – 25th November, The Good Food Show.  Students will only be allowed to participate if they have met the criteria for the reward.
