I am pleased to inform parents that our Estyn report is now available for all to see. We are a Good school in every category with Excellent strategic partnerships. A big thank you to all for their support and a huge well done to students, staff, CA team and Trust. Since the inspection we have already started focusing and looking at where we can improve to ensure we are Excellent in the next inspection.

Farewell to Mr Jenkins
Mr Jenkins will be leaving the school next week. He has been at the school for 12 years and inspired students. Within the last year alone the students have made Barbeques and Huddle Seating. He will be fondly missed by staff and students. We wish him well in his business ventures.
Presentation to Newtown Hospital
The whole school was involved in an assembly and presentation to Newtown Hospital. Staff from the hospital came into school with the equipment. They explained how the equipment was going to be used, the difference it would make to the whole of the Powys community. They also demonstrated how the equipment worked.
Well done to all students and thank you to parents and the community for your kind donations. The total amount raised to purchase the equipment was £6500.
SDL Area Update
Following the Christmas holidays I previously wrote about the changes to the SDL area. The new arrangements of silent booths, huddles and a collaboration room have been a real success. Students are working well in the area and are enjoying the new facilities.
PE Kit Reminder
Just a reminder that students need to be wearing school uniform PE kit rather than their own personal sports clothing. Thank you
Sainsbury’s Active Kids Vouchers
The school will be collecting Sainsbury’s Active Kids vouchers this year. The school can exchange vouchers for sports equipment. If you receive any with your weekly shopping please can you send them into school and give them to reception. Thank you for all your support with school activities.
