Newtown Campus welcomes survivor from the Holocaust Educational Trust
On Monday 3rd April, students from Newtown Campus will hear testimony from Holocaust survivor, Mala Tribich MBE, as part of a visit organised by the Holocaust Educational Trust (HET).
The testimony will be followed by a question and answer session to enable students to better understand the nature of the Holocaust and to explore its lessons in more depth. The visit is part of the Holocaust Educational Trust’s extensive all year round Outreach Programme, which is available to schools across the UK.
This event will be open to parents and community members, if you wish to attend please let Sheena or Lucy know.
Seven students visited Newtown Campus to attend Accounts lesson on Wednesday. The students enjoyed the day and appreciated the welcome, hot lunches and face to face teaching with Mr Robinson.
On Tuesday 4th April the school will close at 1pm for parents to attend parents afternoon, to meet with your child’s teacher(s) to discuss progress. This will be for both Primary and Secondary students. The afternoon will start at 1pm and finish at 4pm. Students will remain in school until parents have met the relevant teacher(s). If you wish your child to accompany you to the meeting, this will be no problem. If you cannot attend, please make arrangements for collecting your child from school. Following feedback from the last parents afternoon, appointments will be made by students but for a longer period of time.
Data on your child’s progress will be collected prior to the Parents Day and sent home via email.
The school photographer will be in on Tuesday 25th April, all students will need to be full school uniform.
